My family and I have just returned from a truly magical four day break in Disneyland Paris where we made some wonderful memories that we will cherish for a very long time to come. We managed to see and do everything that we wanted to; our trip was a complete success. How did we achieve this in just four days you may be asking yourself? One four letter word... PLAN.

When visiting a place such as Disneyland, it is so big and busy that you need to be organised and plan your days. I spent weeks researching the attractions, shows, facilities, local transport, luggage storage and restaurants and we headed to the Eurostar on Friday armed with lists to ensure our trip went without a hitch. In my suitcase were sixteen food bags already prepared for our break, one for each of us on each of our four days. I called these our "snack packs" aka lunch. Food on resort is very expensive.

It was my children's first visit to Disneyland and my Husband's for that matter too. They all had high expectations but thanks to my planning, they were not disappointed. Each morning as the rest of my family indulged in breakfast, I reviewed the lists alongside the park schedule and map and planned our day.

During our four days in Fantasyland (which was actually only a little over 3 days after factoring in travelling time), we squeezed in 19 character/princess meet and greets, went on every ride in both parks at least once (except for those with a minimum height restriction over 120cm) and watched every show, including the incredible character parade and night-time illuminations & fireworks display over the Royal Castle. My daughter was a beautiful princess for the day (booking required once on resort) and following my extensive research prior to our trip, I followed 'ED92 Live' on Twitter to receive notification of the location of unscheduled meet and greets with some of the princesses. Seeing my daughter in awe of the princesses is a memory I will not forget, especially when she met her favourite princess, Rapunzel, whilst she too was dressed as Rapunzel. Not only that, but we found what is known as the "secret spot" where the characters and princesses pass and interact with the public before and after a show.

The 500 photographs we now have in an album is a wonderful reminder of our very successful trip to Disneyland Paris. We even had time for a spot of retail therapy each day, to find the perfect souvenirs.

You may be wondering why I have shared this blog post with you all. Well, I am a virtual assistant. It is my job to organise and plan for my clients, but it's important for my clients to know that organising and planning is not just something that is part of my 'day job'. Being organised is a part of me; a personal quality that comes naturally. I am passionate about what I do and am 100% committed to each and every project I undertake, regardless of whether that project is for work or pleasure.
